Meet the Doctor

Dr. Richard J. Ruffini was certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners in 2003.  His Chiropractic Studies took place at Life University, Atlanta,GA and he later received his degree from Sherman College of Chiropractic Spartanburg, SC.  Dr. Ruffini has additional certifications in Physiological Therapeutics and is board certified in Anti-Aging Medicine.  Dr. Ruffini is a graduate of Michigan State University and holds a BS in Chemical Engineering.  In 1995, Dr. Ruffini pursued studies in the History of Health Care, and Medical Ethics at the University of London.

Dr. Ruffini’s areas of expertise include:

Dr. Ruffini is a strong supporter of student athletics, contributing his time and expertise to many of the student athletes from local middle schools and high schools.  “Dr. Rich,” as he is affectionately known, has developed specially designed and supervised recovery programs for his patients.  His programs focus on returning proper physical function to increase strength, flexibility and endurance.

Dr. Richard Ruffini also specializes in auto and worker compensation injuries.  If you have been injured in an auto accident or at work, Chiropractic treatment and therapeutic techniques are provided to accelerate your return to normal daily activities.  Dr. Ruffini is dedicated to fulfilling the needs of each patient to provide a full and quick recovery by coordinating necessary care with many of the areas leading Orthopedics, Neurologists, and Physical Medicine & Rehab specialists.

Much of Dr. Ruffini’s time is spent lecturing about various health topics to businesses all over the community.  Health fairs, wellness seminars, and lunch & learn activities are just some of the many events that he participates in.  With the addition of the InBody520, the latest in body composition technology from Bio Space, Dr. Rich is now performing Biometric Screenings for companies as well.  Ruffini Chiropractic is proud to be the only facility in the state of Michigan that utilizes this technology!

Dr. Ruffini is recently married to his wife Jodi.  In his spare time he enjoys being with family, playing golf, basketball, softball, camping and hiking.  For the past several years he has also been actively training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Warrior Way Martial Arts.The following is a list of professional societies that Dr. Ruffini is affiliated with:
